 What can we say
about Mischef, her name says it all! Bred by Mrs. Anna Spanswick she was
what we were looking for as a mate for Rupert. Mischef is an excellent
hunter and is also a “core” pack member of the Eden Valley Beagle Pack. Mischef won the “Hound
of the Meet” at the July 2003 Beagle Club Hunt. In 2006 she was
promoted to Pack Hound with the Beagle Club of South Australia.
A late bloomer,
with an indifferent opinion of the Show Ring, she didn’t win a Challenge
until a Junior, but then didn’t take long to gain her title. (17 months
of age)
To keep her mind
active and an interest in the show ring we decided to let her take up
agility, she loves it and excels at it.
Mischef has had her
first litter in 2004 and we have kept a dog puppy (Zorro). Mischef has
an excellent temperament and her patience with the baby puppies makes
her an ideal “babysitter”.
Mischef
had a second litter in Feb 2006 and we have kept Dougall and Edwina from
this litter.
In 2004 Mischef has
also commenced her quest for a tracking title and passed her
Qualification Test and Test 1 with flying colours. In 2005 Mischef has
passed her Test 2 with an excellent rating and now has the title
of TD (Tracking Dog). In 2006 she has passed her Test 3 with a
"Good" rating and is on her way to her TDX title.
In September 2006 Mischef had to be desexed and
is still able to be shown in the Neuter Class.
Since being desexed has won Neuter in
Show at The Hound Club of South Australia, Crater City Kennel Club ,The
Beagle Club of S.A. Championship Show just to name a few. In
2007 Mischef has continued with her Tracking and of course her hunting.
Mischef
won the 2007 - Runner up to The Pack Hound of the Year Trophy awarded by
The Beagle Club. She has really enjoyed her Hunt Days this Year.
Mischievous,
cheeky, merry, loyal, loving and gentle are adjectives to describe this
truly gorgeous beagle bitch.
